| This
area possesses many lovely white sandy beaches or secluded coves
for swimming and sun bathing within easy distance of the villa.
After an early morning dip below the villa, you can collect fresh
croissants and baguettes from a little bakery conveniently located
on the way back. There is an excellent restaurant /bar situated
on the seafront within a hundred metres of the house. |

A
few minutes drive away is COLONIA ST PERE, a small traditional
seaside town with a lovely sandy beach and promenade with cafes,
bars, restaurants and shops.

are several golf courses such as Capdepera, and Canyamel nearby.
This is an area much frquented by artists, due to the excellent
quality of the light. It also produces some excellent wines, with
the bodega of Miquel Oliver in Petra, well worth a visit. |

Betlem
is situated in the beautiful Parc de Llevant, a natural conservation
area and one of the truly unspoilt locations on the island. Here
there are many excellent walks along the coastal paths or up into
the mountains behind, where you may catch a glimpse of the black
vultures which nest up by the monastery. |

Although,
in itself, a quiet location, BETLEM has easy access to the many
varied attractions of N.E. Mallorca. Fifteen minutes drive away,
the historical town of ARTA boasts a spectacular castle, fine
shops and restaurants, and a colourful market every week providing
fresh local produce, crafts, shoes, clothes etc.

close by are many beautiful beaches including CALA MESQUIDA, CALA
AGUILA, CALA TORTA, CANYAMEL and the popular resort of CALA RAJADA,
while half an hour in the other direction brings you to ALCUDIA
with its fun waterpark. |

Canyamel also boasts the caves of Arta, inspiration for Jules
Verne's "Journey to the Centre of the Earth". Other
attractions within close proximity are MANACOR, the "pearl
centre" of the island, INCA with its many leather outlets,
and the resort of PUERTA POLLENSA.
The
beautiful city of PALMA, with it's magnificent cathedral, fine
restaurants, and superb shopping may be reached in just over
an hour's drive away and the AIRPORT is approx. 65k from the
villa.
